about us

OUR MISSION

At Nomad Dirt Culture, our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and amplify the stories of Australian speedway and dirt motorsport from the roar of engines and the hustle of pit crews to the family, team, and infield moments that define the sport.

Through Jocelyn Dare’s signature viral reels and high-quality content, we help riders, teams, promoters, motorsport businesses, museums, and collectors connect with fans, attract sponsors, and grow their presence, keeping the legacy of grassroots motorsport alive for generations.

We exist to honour the past, support the present, and inspire the future of Australian dirt motorsport, one story, one reel, and one unforgettable moment at a time.

MEET JOCELYN DARE

Founder Jocelyn Dare is an independent motorsport media creator, accredited for trackside and infield access, capturing the moments others often miss from high-octane on-track action to behind-the-scenes pit and family crew stories. With a keen eye for what resonates, she creates viral content that helps riders, teams, and sponsors shine while preserving the heart of Australian speedway.

Jocelyn brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in construction and mining, combined with 7 years of business and creative strategy. A business scholarship recipient, she builds platforms, drives marketing, and crafts content that engages audiences with precision, discipline, and impact.

Though Jocelyn wasn’t born during her father, Ron “Big Bad Johno” Johnson’s, prime years in speedway, she inherited his scrapbook filled with memories and history from his legendary 45-year career as a rider, track owner, pioneer sidecar, and promoter. After self-publishing his biography, she set out on a mission to help others in the sport preserve their family legacy and celebrate the dedication of every rider, driver, crew, and fan.

This work is deeply personal. Jocelyn didn’t get to capture videos with her father before he passed from cancer, but through Nomad Dirt Culture, she now ensures these fleeting, special moments are preserved for others documenting the passion, effort, and heart that make every race day unforgettable.

“My father’s 45 years in the sport, and the hard work of countless others, deserve to be remembered and celebrated. Nomad Dirt Culture is a way to honor past, present, and future champions of Australian motorsport.”

OUR WORK & IMPACT (Sponsor-Friendly Version)

As accredited motorsport media, Nomad Dirt Culture has trackside access to Speedway Australia and other sanctioned events, allowing us to document every story safely and professionally. In 2025, Jocelyn promoted and hosted a speedway exhibition at the Ekka Show, showcasing 99 years of speedway heritage at the Brisbane Exhibition Track. Fans and visitors connected with the stories, achievements, and culture of Australian speedway including Jocelyn’s self-published book, Big Bad Johno.

Nomad Dirt Culture brings the same dedication to every track and event, providing:

  • High-quality 4K reels and clips of race action, behind-the-scenes moments, and pit life
  • Coverage from the tracks to garages and collectors’ caves, documenting the full motorsport ecosystem
  • Helping riders and drivers gain exposure to potential sponsors through eye-catching, viral content
  • Creating content that gets noticed and remembered, helping teams, riders, and track owners promote their events effectively
  • Custom content packages for tracks and teams, backed by brand partnerships

We give a voice to those who rarely make headlines riders, drivers, promoters, families, and fans who live and breathe dirt motorsport.

Your support and sponsorship help keep these stories alive, allowing us to continue documenting the history, culture, and passion of Australian dirt motorsport while keeping the platform free for the riders, drivers, and fans we celebrate.
