The Heart and Soul of Speedway Heritage

Let’s be completely honest about the landscape of Australian speedway: Sidecars, Solos and classic machinery are the absolute core of our heritage.

Long before modern PR campaigns tried to reshape the narrative, it was classic racing that built the foundation of grassroots motorsport. This weekend brings that history to life, unleashing pre-1985 solos and classic sidecars onto the Mildura dirt track.

There is a reason this discipline consistently pulls the biggest, loudest crowds in the country, the sheer, unfiltered spectacle of local and interstate riders pushing vintage engineering to the absolute limit is unmatched. It’s tribal, it's traditional and it belongs to the community who lives and breathes this sport.

🏆 Heavyweight Nominations to Watch

The rider nominations are dropping and the grid is packed with serious machinery and fearless crews. Keep your eyes locked on the standouts across both fields:

  • The Vintage Sidecar Class: Packed with historic three-wheeled outfits ready to drop the clutch, run wide, and chase a massive long-weekend podium finish.

  • Pre-1985 Solos: Heavyweight interstate invaders and local legends stepping up to the plate on brutal, classic setups.

The Nomad Dirt Culture media team won't be trackside in person in Mildura for this round, but as the country’s first official motorsport social license advocacy framework, we are backing these riders and community all the way.

If you’re attending the event, send us some photos and let’s document the sport! Follow the Mildura Motorcycle Club on Facebook for more updates on the event! Keep your eyes glued right here to our feed and as we feature the bikes, the builds and the raw trackside action.

No brakes. No apologies. Just pure grassroots speedway. 🏁🔥
