35TH AKUBRA CLASSIC 2026 RIDERS LIST IS IN!

One of the biggest dates on the Australian dirt track and motocross calendar is back! The 35th Akubra Classic, hosted by the Macleay District Motor Cycle Club at Greenhill Speedway, 15 Alverton Street, Greenhill NSW 2440 (Kempsey).

The History:
The Akubra Classic has become a genuine institution in Australian motorcycling, run annually at Greenhill Speedway by the Macleay District Motor Cycle Club. The 2025 event marked the 34th running of the Classic, drawing strong numbers across senior, junior, and ATV divisions, with the feature Pro 450 event seeing riders face off across tight heats. Past fields have featured multiple Akubra champion Michael Booth alongside national-level talent, a reflection of just how respected this event is within the sport. 

The Classic has also served as a qualifier for the Troy Bayliss Classic, cementing its place as a genuine pathway event, not just a local meet. Senior and junior classes have raced everything from Pro 450 and Pro 250 to Sidecars, ATVs, and Junior divisions on a 19/19-inch wheel TT-style track, a serious test for riders of every age. 

Now in its 35th year, the Akubra Classic continues to bring together generations of riders from 4-year-old demo riders to seasoned Pro 450 and Sidecar champions all racing at the one iconic venue.
