The opening dust has settled under a classic North Queensland sunset at Pioneer Park Speedway, and the first major results of the 2026 Queensland Junior 125cc Solo Championships are officially in the books. In a masterclass of second-generation pedigree and cross-continental determination, 12-year-old road warrior Riley Stout (#4) has officially claimed a spot on the state podium—proving that while modern bureaucratic institutions can lock gates, they cannot restrict raw, world-class talent.
Lining up for a fierce, high-velocity program in the QLD Junior Pairs Championship, Stout partnered with fellow junior standout Courtney Looby to lock down an exceptional 3rd place overall state podium finish with 18 points. The duo finished hot on the heels of state powerhouses Lambie/Misfud (1st on 23 points) and Doyle/Beer (2nd on 22 points).
While Looby executed a clutch, high-stakes ride to secure the vital points needed to seal the podium, Riley Stout emerged from the grueling heats as the absolute highest individual point scorer across the entire championship field.
The 12-Year Full Circle: A Destiny on Dirt
For the Stout family, standing on a Queensland championship podium tonight is a deeply emotional, full-circle homecoming. Riley was born in Townsville before moving to Adelaide when he was just 12 months old. "As parents, we absolutely do what we can for our kids," says Leah Stout, Riley’s mother. "Given certain tracks in our home state won't let him ride there, we will do the kms to ensure he doesn't miss out and just concentrate on what we can control. He loves his racing so we will help him live his dreams & take it as far as he can."
