CENTRAL COAST, NSW
Team Thompson Racing completed an overnight haul from Brisbane to MX Central / Ranch MX, establishing a major footprint at the inaugural La Femme Motorcycle Festival hosted by Motorcycling NSW and Motorcycling Australia.
Representing the team trackside, Adam, Adrianna, Holly, and Jett Thompson engaged across multiple facets of the event. Adam and Adrianna spearheaded hands-on instruction across nine separate coaching groups, working through essential fundamentals including high-speed braking, jump technique, bike control and track marshal protocols.

Beyond rider coaching, Team Thompson Racing brought their Speedway sidecar program to showcase the high-octane discipline to new audiences. The team opened demonstration runs with their white 2007 methanol-injected Speedway sidecar, delivering high-speed laps before preparing to debut their newly built 2016 ZX-10 Speedway outfit.
However, the paddock served up a classic trackside plot twist when the team discovered the ZX-10’s ignition key remained locked inside the transport van, parking the machine for the remainder of the demo window.
"Not everything went exactly to plan, but that’s motorsport!" — Team Thompson Racing
Pivot-steering on the fly, Adam and passenger Adrianna re-fired the methanol outfit to complete the scheduled track sessions for the crowd.
"We fired the trusty white Speedway outfit back up, with Adrianna jumping into the chair, and headed back onto the track for another run. More importantly, we had an awesome day meeting riders, families, coaches and officials, sharing some knowledge and introducing plenty of people to Speedway and Speedway sidecars." — Team Thompson Racing
The family team focused heavily on paddock advocacy throughout the afternoon, opening their pit display to young riders and prospective competitors eager to learn more about sidecar racing.
"We hope everyone who stopped by the Team Thompson Racing display or watched the demonstrations came away knowing a little more about our incredible branch of motorcycle racing. Now it’s time to get the bikes home, sort out that dirt tracker... and make sure we pack the ZX-10 key next time." — Team Thompson Racing
