Motorsport heritage returns to Queensland’s Southern Downs as the Historic Leyburn Sprints marks its milestone 30th Anniversary event on August 15–16, 2026. Celebrating Australia’s iconic Grand Prix history, the weekend brings together drivers, historic car enthusiasts and spectators for two action-packed days of sprint racing.
This year’s grid features over 200 diverse entrants spanning multiple eras of competitive racing. Spectators will see a lineup of classic open-wheel single-seaters, vintage sports cars and iconic Australian muscle cars—including crowd favourites like vintage sedans and Ford Falcon GTs.
Proudly supported by Darling Downs Bank and key regional sponsors, the event highlights the rich community spirit and enduring legacy of Australian motorsport.
