Renowned motoring broadcaster and television presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he is undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

The 66-year-old former Top Gear and The Grand Tour host disclosed the diagnosis during the final episodes of the fifth season of his Amazon Prime documentary series, Clarkson's Farm.

According to the broadcast, Clarkson learned of the condition following a routine medical checkup and a subsequent biopsy. While medical professionals classified the cancer as aggressive, Clarkson emphasised that the disease was detected at a "really early stage."

"If I hadn't have got myself checked out and they hadn't caught the problem early, this could well have been my last harvest," Clarkson stated during an emotional conversation with farm manager Kaleb Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland. "It's only because they did catch it early, there's every hope that I'll be harvesting this farm for many, many years to come."

Clarkson has already undergone an initial surgical operation to remove approximately 10 percent of his prostate, specifically targeting the area affected by the malignancy. The presenter noted that further surgical procedures are expected, and he was filmed in a hospital bed at the conclusion of the season following minor treatment complications.

Prior to the episode’s release, Clarkson took to social media to warn fans of "sombre news," acknowledging that the final chapters of the season departed significantly from the program's typically cheerful, rural tone. The season concluded with a direct message to viewers: "Look after yourselves, all of you."

Public health statistics indicate that prostate cancer represents roughly 28% of all new male cancer cases. Medical data consistently demonstrates that early-stage intervention drastically improves long-term survival rates.
