NEW ERA FOR BUNDABERG: CARINA SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES NEW OWNERSHIP & MAJOR FACILITY UPGRADEs

LOCATION: BUNDABERG, QLD

A landmark shift for Regional Queensland motorsport has been locked in, with Autobarn Carina International Speedway officially confirming new ownership and a major capital works program for the Bundaberg venue.

Key Developments at a Glance

  • Major Capital Investment: Comprehensive venue enhancements and infrastructure upgrades are planned to expand future motorsport activities, pending council approvals.

  • Zero Race Day Disruption: The track maintains a strict "business as usual" stance, ensuring all scheduled events and racing calendars proceed without interruption.

  • Proven Operational Continuity: Barry Pearce remains locked in as Head of Operations, guaranteeing leadership stability for competitors, pit crews, officials, and supporters.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Management is working directly alongside Speedway Australia, Bundaberg Regional Council, and the local community to build a sustainable long-term future.

What This Means for Grassroots Racers For regional drivers tearing up the dirt, the injection of new capital secures Carina Speedway’s standing on the Australian motorsport map. Retaining Barry Pearce guarantees that track prep, competitor relations, and race day execution remain grounded in authentic racing experience while the facility prepares for multi-discipline growth.

No names of the new owner, would be interested who is kicking in the capital to up grade the track. A few names come to mind and I am sure further announcements will be provided.
Has to be a good thing for Carina Speedway after the issues of 2025/2026. Hopefully 2026/2027 will prove to be a strong season for the local community.
