KINGAROY, QLD
The path to an FIM or World Championship title doesn't begin on international television, it starts right here on the red dirt of regional Queensland, built on family grit and healthy sibling rivalry. Over the weekend, the brothers behind Banjo Beer Racing turned in a knockout performance at the Kingaroy Junior Speedway Club, proving why backing grassroots junior racing is the key to building Australia's future world champions.

Leading the charge for the family squad on the South Burnett track, Banjo put on a clinic in speed and racecraft, powering his way to a hard-earned 2nd place finish for the day. That relentless drive capped off an extraordinary championship run, officially securing 2nd place overall in the season points standings. It’s a massive milestone that underscores Banjo’s rapid evolution on the bike and sets a high benchmark for his younger brother to follow.
Stepping onto the Kingaroy circuit for his very first race meeting, little brother Rocket turned heads across the pit paddock with a debut drive that looked more like a seasoned pro than a beginner:
-
Flawless Line Starts: Didn't stall on the line once—an incredible feat for a junior making his competitive debut under race-day pressure.
-
Continuous Progression: Dropped his lap times and grew faster with every single exit onto the track.
-
Textbook Racing Lines: Hit his marks consistently, earning big praise from trackside spectators and rival pit crews.
"Both boys had an awesome day," the team shared following the event. "A huge thanks to the Kingaroy Junior Speedway Club. It was great to run some good meetings this year and build for next season."
With the Kingaroy season wrapped up on a high note, the brothers aren't slowing down. The team is aiming to sneak in a practice session at Ipswich to fine-tune their setups before locking in for their flagship event at the end of the month.
When media platforms and sponsors back junior brother duos on the dirt, they aren't just supporting a weekend event—they are directly funding the pipeline that creates Australia’s next international motorsport legends.
