STEVEN LOADER TAKES OUT THE DARWIN TITLE AT NORTHLINE SPEEDWAY

When the red dirt settles and the methanol fumes clear, true grassroots legends stand tall on top of the wing.

Under the blinding lights of Northline Speedway, Steven Loader put on a absolute clinic in dirt-track grit, steering the #V10 Magnet Towing & Transport / Flipside Energy sprintcar straight into Victory Lane to claim the coveted Darwin Title.

For anyone following Aussie motorsport, seeing Loader stand high above the clay with a finger pointed to the sky is pure poetry. Whether it’s shredding tires on the tarmac or hooking up on a tacky dirt oval, the man knows one speed: flat out.

The Workhorse Run to the Feature

Winning a title in dirt track racing is never a walk in the park—it’s a test of mechanical endurance, relentless tire management, and razor-thin split-second decisions. Loader’s campaign throughout the night was a masterclass in consistency before laying it all on the line:

• Time Trials: 2nd Quickest

• Heat 1: 2nd Place

• Heat 2: 4th Place

• B-Dash: 2nd Place

• The Main Event: 1st Place – FEATURE WINNER 🏁

After qualifying up front and fighting through brutal heat races and a hard-fought B-Dash, Loader dialed in the setup for the main game. When the green flag dropped for the Feature, the pink-and-teal #V10 rocket ship carved through the dirt, holding the high line and pulling away to bag the first big victory of the season.

Built in the Pits: The Crew Behind the Crown

Grassroots motorsport isn't a solo sport. Victory Lane photos are earned through hours of turning spanners in dusty pit bays, swapping gear ratios between heats and scraping heavy clay off chassis rails under tight timers.

Loader made sure to credit the backbone of the operation, the pit crew of Paul, Kenny and Jordy whose late-night spanner work kept the V10 firing on all cylinders to capture the crown.

With the Darwin Title officially in the record books and the trophy locked in the trailer, Loader and the team have set a massive benchmark for the rest of the season.
