The raw, high-horsepower theatre of grassroots sidecar racing returns to North Queensland tomorrow night. The NQ Speedway Riders & Supporters Club Inc., alongside Motorcycling Queensland, has officially locked in the 2026 CMS Queensland Sidecar Championships for Saturday night, June 27th, under the lights at the iconic Pioneer Park Speedway in Brandon.

Presented by naming rights partner Conveyor Maintenance Services (CMS), the event represents the absolute pinnacle of state-level three-wheeled warfare, drawing battle-hardened veterans and eager young guns ready to risk it all for state glory.

Three Wheels, No Brakes, Pure Trust

Sidecar speedway remains one of the most high-stakes, terrifying spectacles in all of motorsport. Operating on brakeless, methanol-burning machines, the division requires telepathic synchronisation between driver and passenger as they fling their outfits sideways into the clay corners of Pioneer Park at speeds clearing over 100km/h.

The confirmed championship lineup features a ruthless field of heavyweight contenders, including:

  • Hagan Campbell / Riley Campbell

  • Max Howse / Riley Commons

  • Scott Davies / Daniel Newman

  • Justin Plaisted / Brian Anthony

  • Tyler Moon / Adam Lovell

  • Stephen Smith / Matthew Doyle

Securing the Lineage: Junior Solo Championships

In lockstep with Nomad Dirt Culture’s mission to safeguard the future of the sport, the night will also feature the highly anticipated Queensland Junior Solo and Queensland Junior Solo Pairs Championships.

This junior showcase provides a vital, high-visibility stage for the next generation of speedway athletes to test their grit under championship conditions, tell their stories, and generate critical exposure for their personal career trajectories and backing sponsors.
