MARYBOROUGH, QLD
Nomad Dirt Culture (NDC) will head trackside on Saturday, October 10, 2026, to bring live digital coverage to Maryborough Speedway’s 2026/27 Opening Race Night. The event presents an ideal weekend getaway for families, motorsport fans and road-trippers looking to explore the historic Fraser Coast region.
A Destination Event for Weekend Explorers
Speedway racing offers a window into authentic regional culture, giving visitors a compelling reason to pack up the car, head up the highway, and explore Maryborough. From local dining to regional stays, events of this scale invite first-time travellers to experience the warmth and character of the local community.
"Grassroots motorsport isn't just about what happens inside the grid, it’s an invitation to experience the heart of regional Queensland," says Jocelyn Dare. "Partnerships with local anchors like Westside Tavern prove how motorsport brings people together to stay, eat and explore. We aren't just bringing media coverage to the track; we are encouraging families from across the state to turn race day into a full weekend adventure."
The weekend setup and hospitality for the NDC media crew are backed directly by event sponsor Westside Tavern(Westside Village Hotel) showcasing how regional hospitality and sport connect to welcome out-of-town guests.
