THEY LOST THEIR TRACK, BUT NOT THEIR SOUL. PEDRO MCCAULEY.

THEY LOST THEIR TRACK, BUT NOT THEIR SOUL. PEDRO MCCAULEY.
When the legends of the vintage paddock start flying your flag, you know you’re fighting for the right cause.
Massive shoutout to Pedro McCauley for backing the Nomad Dirt Culture movement by placing our NDC sticker right on the side of his stunning, beautifully No.50 Vintage Midget! Pedro was a Warrant Officer for over 20 years before dedicating his time to preserving our speedway history. A true leader on and off the dirt track!

Pedro is a proud member of the Historic Speedway Association of Australia (HSAA). For 45 years, this dedicated organization has acted as a living museum, preserving and restoring the rare, immaculate machines that have carried our sport’s legacy since the early 1920s. But protecting our history hasn’t been easy. Many of the club’s devoted members are around their 80s, holding a lifetime of stories and knowledge that can never be replaced. But protecting our history hasn’t been easy for these pioneers.

The club has been fighting a brutal uphill battle just to keep their wheels turning. After being displaced from both the Boonah Showgrounds and Mick Doohan Raceway, these living pieces of Australian motorsport history were left completely without a place to run.

But this paddock doesn’t let history die quietly.

After a long, relentless search for a new track, the team at Lockyer Valley Speedway stepped up to offer their support proving that when the traditional doors close on our culture, the speedway community takes care of its own. Thanks to them, Pedro and the HSAA crew can finally fire up these iconic engines and keep the history loud.
We are incredibly proud to stand in safeguarding our sport’s roots. Stay tuned for our upcoming feature deep-diving into Pedro’s journey and his stunning No. 50 machine!
Drop a comment to show some massive respect to Lockyer Valley Speedway for backing the our Motorsport heritage and let’s hear it for the HSAA crew fighting to keep the culture alive!

Our history only survives if we keep talking about it.
