In the high-stakes theatre of Australian grassroots motorsport, championship dynasties aren't built on raw speed alone, they are forged through absolute, unyielding consistency.

Following back-to-back dominant seasons, Lockyer Valley-based outfit Manttan Motorsport has officially confirmed its next major operational milestone: a grueling 3,500-kilometre logistically intensive campaign to contest the legendary Thunder in the Cane Fields event at Cairns Speedway. The mid-winter assignment serves as the ultimate litmus test before the team launches a full-scale assault on the upcoming 2026/2027 Sprintcars Queensland 360/LS season starting this September.

The operation lands in North Queensland backed by an elite competitive pedigree. The team enters the winter stretch decorated as the 2023/24 Queensland Pro Sprintcar Champion and the reigning 2025/26 Queensland 360 LS Series Champion. Currently holding a formidable rank of No. 3 in New South Wales alongside multiple feature-race podium finishes over the last 12 months, the team’s Q86 Sprintcar has solidified its place at the top tier of regional open-wheel racing.

The Core Philosophy: Consistency Wins Championships

For the driver and crew behind the Q86 machine, navigating the brutal realities of Sprintcar racing has driven a complete evolution in strategy.

"One of the biggest things I learnt last season was that consistency wins championships," Luke Manttan, driver stated. "While race wins are important, being prepared, making smart decisions and maximising points every single night is what puts you in contention at the end of the season."

This methodical, analytical approach shifts the focus from short-term single-night glory to a structured team operation. It is a high-pressure discipline where victory relies heavily on an unwavering logistical backbone.

"Success in Sprintcar racing is a team effort and something that can’t be achieved alone," they added, noting the critical foundation provided by family, crew and long-standing community backers.

Logistical Reality: The Road to Cairns and Beyond

Competing at the highest echelon of the sport requires surviving some of the most demanding transport corridors in the country. The upcoming Thunder in the Cane Fields campaign represents a massive operational undertaking, requiring over 3,500km of highway travel across Queensland to transport specialized race machinery.

Immediately following the winter stretch, the team transitions straight into the official 2026/2027 racing calendar. Focusing exclusively on the highly competitive 360/LS events, the team faces an aggressive multi-track schedule hitting major motorsport hubs including Toowoomba Speedway and Maryborough Speedway.

Current foundational pillars backing the team's ongoing campaign include regional business stalwarts The Lockyer Hotel, Lockyer Valley Earthworks and Razor Signs. However, standardising a multi-track, state-wide title defence opens up major high-visibility opportunities for new corporate partnerships.

Commercial Utility: High-Velocity Brand Exposure

Unlike traditional, localised sports marketing, a travelling open-wheel race team acts as a highly visible, cross-state mobile billboard. With corporate entities seeking real-world brand visibility beyond saturated digital channels, Manttan Motorsport’s massive transit footprint and stadium presence provide direct access to high-loyalty consumer bases across Queensland.

As the team prepares to log thousands of kilometers across the state, open inventory is now available for corporate partners looking to secure premium exposure for the upcoming season.

Partnership Infrastructure Openings:

  • High-Impact Transit Placement: Premium corporate logo real estate across the team’s long-haul transport trailer, visible to thousands of motorists across major highway corridors.

  • On-Machine Track Inventory: Trackside brand alignment on the high-profile Q86 Sprintcar panels, appearing in front of capacity stadium crowds and media broadcast lenses.

  • Tailored Corporate Integration: Flexible commercial packages engineered to meet diverse budget requirements and marketing objectives for the 2026/2027 season.

Media Contact & Partnership Inquiries

Forward-thinking corporate brands, local business owners and regional backers looking to leverage Tier 1 motorsport media exposure while directly supporting an elite, championship-winning outfit are encouraged to act immediately before the grid locks in for September.
