The Australian motorsport and speedway community pauses to honour and remember Kerry Menz, following his recent passing.
A foundational pillar of the Menz family’s rich racing heritage, Kerry helped spark a multi-generational passion for the sport when he raced Sprintcars alongside his son Dave throughout the 1990s. That shared time in the pits and on the clay laid the groundwork for what has become a lasting racing journey, inspiring the next generation to carry the family name forward on the track.
While Kerry had stepped away from trackside attendance in recent years, his influence, guidance, and love for his family remained at the absolute core of Menz Motorsport.
"My Dad and Pop used to race Sprintcars in the 90’s together which is what created this crazy journey for us as the next generation," shared the family in a heartfelt tribute. "Whilst he hasn’t been to the track for many years, I’m sure he will be watching from above in the best seat in the house now."
Nomad Dirt Culture extends its deepest condolences, respect, and thoughts to Dave, Nanna, Aunty Tanya, Aunty Suzy, the grandchildren, and the entire Menz family and community during this time.
Rest in Peace, Kerry Menz. Your legacy lives on through the family and the sport you helped build.
