The public consultation period for the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) has been formally extended to Thursday, 25 June 2026. The department has also requested an additional community consultation meeting during this timeframe to ensure all local planning questions are thoroughly addressed.
Official data shows a landslide 3,500 submissions have been recorded, with 77.8% in favor of the development.
The public consultation extension reflects the standard regulatory process required for a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID). According to the department's update, the extended timeframe ensures all regional economic impacts are fully assessed alongside local infrastructure requirements, including traffic management, noise buffering and environmental protections.
Experience the Soul of Grassroots Motorsport
For those who want to understand exactly what we are fighting to protect, watch the video pinned below. True grassroots racing isn’t found in corporate boardrooms, it lives in the pits, the mateship, the family legacies and the raw grit of Australian Motorsport Heritage. This is the heartbeat of our culture and it is precisely why securing this social infrastructure matters for the next generation.

⚠️ Community Standards Notice
Nomad Dirt Culture maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for ageism, bullying, or personal abuse across all media channels.
Our mission is to protect the integrity of grassroots motorsport. We recognise that isolated bad behaviour from specific corners of the online space and public discussion does not represent the values, heritage or reality of the wider motorsport community. True racing culture is built on family, mutual respect and community standards.
Hostile behavior directed toward local residents who raise infrastructure concerns is entirely unacceptable. Such actions damage the reputation of the sporting community and may risk compromising crucial development approvals. We strongly advise all enthusiasts to engage in the extended process with absolute professionalism, focusing strictly on facts, data and structural solutions.
Submissions remain open.

This is a must have. Some people will complain for the sake of complaining. I’m over 80years let’s get it done
100% need this in our area, something that the whole family can enjoy. The extra money it will put back into the community will help a lot of local businesses thrive 👌
I myself was a resident in Beachmere for 10yrs,only just moving to Bribie lately but have always said we need something like thus, this is amazing 👏 🤩. We couldn’t really go to events or bike riding as by the time you added u all the vos, fuel, tickets, food gor the day, it was just to much if you are a family with limited funds. Alot if families on lower incomes will have so much more opportunity with this been here.
Can’t wait. Thanku so much.
This would be amazing for the area, would be great day out for families. We have nothing like thus up here and its do costly to travel and have money for tickets and food with other events. Give the Morten Bay residents something special and the enjoyment this will bring with been close to home.
Love the idea.
Let’s do it for Bay residents.
only if NOT 1 cent of Government money is used ? There are other sports who have nothing
If think it’s a great proposal for Morton Bay, will bring business $$$ to the region.
The people at Beachmeer will be most affected. They should be the only people that are polled as to whether it should go ahead or not. We frequent Beachmeer because we have a boat there and are totally opposed to the disruption. It will bring to this quiet restful area.
How many many people that have submitted approvals actually live in the area? How many people in the area approve? And how many don’t that question needs to be answered before decisions because out of towners can go home after where it’s quiet.we have a boat we spend a lot of time in Beachmeer and we are totally opposed to the disruption to the peace here it will bring.
Need it. Hurry up n buil it
Bring it on it wont impact Beachmere that much speedway runs manly later in the day finishing that night a few time a year stop wining about something so far away from Beachmere it will be so good for SEQ we need it .
