The public consultation period for the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) has been formally extended to Thursday, 25 June 2026. The department has also requested an additional community consultation meeting during this timeframe to ensure all local planning questions are thoroughly addressed.

Official data shows a landslide 3,500 submissions have been recorded, with 77.8% in favor of the development.

The public consultation extension reflects the standard regulatory process required for a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID). According to the department's update, the extended timeframe ensures all regional economic impacts are fully assessed alongside local infrastructure requirements, including traffic management, noise buffering and environmental protections.

For those who want to understand exactly what we are fighting to protect, watch the video pinned below. True grassroots racing isn’t found in corporate boardrooms, it lives in the pits, the mateship, the family legacies and the raw grit of Australian Motorsport Heritage. ⚠️ Community Standards Notice

Nomad Dirt Culture maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for ageism, bullying, or personal abuse across all media channels.

Our mission is to protect the integrity of grassroots motorsport. We recognise that isolated bad behaviour from specific corners of the online space and public discussion does not represent the values, heritage or reality of the wider motorsport community. True racing culture is built on family, mutual respect and community standards.

Hostile behavior directed toward local residents who raise infrastructure concerns is entirely unacceptable. Such actions damage the reputation of the sporting community and may risk compromising crucial development approvals. We strongly advise all enthusiasts to engage in the extended process with absolute professionalism, focusing strictly on facts, data and structural solutions.

Submissions remain open.

Friendships are forged at racetracks. A happy place where people forget their outside troubles and sink into the buzz of motorsports.

I’m all for this project, very minimal impact to the area, this will be great for all local businesses and accommodation in the area, will be a great space to take my kids to experience what I could when I was a kid without having to travel 2 hours to a event, let it go ahead

It’s a shame that there has been so much bullying against the people that this proposal may affect (Beachmere) the ugly and sometimes nasty responre’s that are all over face book isn’t going to help

It will be good, not just for Beachmere, but for All of SEQ.
Really hope it becomes a reality!

The entrance needs to be changed to coming off Bribie Island Rd NOT Beachmere Rd.
Beachmere Rd is only a 2 lane road – NOT 4 lanes as in the submission
